Fred Storey Staff training in Paediatric First Aid

As part of our ongoing commitment to our customers Health & Safety & our staff training and ISO 18001 Certification  eight members of staff from Fred Storey will commence a course designed specifically for undergoing first aid on children on Saturday the 11th January . This course focusses on first aid  techniques for infants, toddlers and older kids alike. Students will learn how to deal with events like choking, injuries, and more serious situations requiring CPR or a portable defibrillator. 

Course covers:

  • Accident prevention
  • Activating emergency medical services
  • CPR for children and infants
  • Choking
  • Using an AED (defibrillator)
  • Reacting to illness and injuries
  • Child-specific scenarios
  • Pocket face-mask
  • EMS card
  • CPR charts
  • First aid book
  • Wallet certification

On completion we hope to have 8 Fully qualified Paediatric first aiders to add to our team of 13 staff who are fully qualified and certified as Adult First Aiders.
