The end users of our products invariably have special needs of some sort whether that be a disability, impairment or age related handicap. Sadly ` Our clients often need help with funding equipment, require extra support or simply a sign post to where they may find help. our clients, their families, support groups and charities have helped us to put this together and if there is anything else you think may be helpful to others that you would like included on this page please let us know.

Most people in the UK and Ireland would assume that disabled people in real need would be provided with the equipment they require via the local statuatory services. Afterall, this equipment could help them overcome or manage their condition, safeguard their health, stop a condition deteriorating or improve their quality of life considerable. Sadly more often than not our disabled community needs are often not being met. Analyses by UK Charity Nelife foundation completed in summer 2012 shows thatin over 90% of all their equipment applications the supporting healthcare professional reported that locally set restrictions or lack of funds meant the assessed equipment was needed but couldn’t be provided. This is why Fred Storey Ltd, recognise that families often need help with funding equipment and why we work locally and have accounts with most of the UK’s biggest equipment funding charities. We work with the charities in order to help signpost families to the most suitable charity for their particular need and we collaborate and communicate with the charities to make the whole process as easy and stress free for the family as possible.
