Lucas ready for the snow & ice !

Lucas received his new Wheelblades from Fred Storey's this week which he had founded by One 17 Charitable trust.... Bring on the snow!!!  Wheelblades are a type of ski for wheelchair castors which makes moving safely over snow and ice possible and great fun too! 

He visited all the staff at One 17 and charmed them with his delightful smile and enthusiastic conversation. Lucas even enjoyed trying out the blades on the carpet in the office! Mum, Gail explained how the blades will allow them to get out in the winter weather, as last year the snow meant that they couldn’t get up the drive with Lucas’s chair. Lucas is also looking forward to trying the blades out to do a bit of ice skating with his dad.
