Waddle donates Multisensory equipment to Royal Victoria Hospital for sick children!

Wednesday, November 27, 2013

We are delighted to report that Northern Ireland fundraising group Waddle (www.thewaddle.net) will shortly be presenting Portable Multisensory products from Fred Storey Ltd to some very worthy recipients!

The aim of Waddle is to raise awareness of the daily challenges children with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus face and to fund-raise for the life changing work of the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children, and the support services provided by the Association of Spina Bifida and Hydrocephallus (ASBAH). Every penny raised by and donated to Waddle goes directly to benefit both the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children and ASBAH.

 The ‘Waddle’ concept came through Paul Rainey's personal experience as a parent;

Zoe is Pauls second daughter and a happy, 5 year old who happens to have Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Zoe has had a catalogue of major surgeries but she is very determined and a fighter. Fred Storey has known Zoe for some time now, in fact she uses a Chunc wheelchair from Fred Storey which may well have been oh how we first met!

 Zoe loves enjoying the Multisensory equipment we supplied previously to Royal Children's hospital and because it really comforted her at some very difficult times that really inspired Waddle to raise funds and purchase more of it to donate so that more children can Benefit from it. We are delighted that Waddle came to us for advice and info on our multisensory products and chose Fred Storey Ltd to be their suppliers!

A fully portable multisensory station including projection, fibre optics, bubble tube etc and a number of portable fibre optics sets will soon be  enjoyed by lots of sick children spending time in hospital here in Northern Ireland.

Well done Waddle!
